Summary: We went on a one night trip from Tokyo. They have a free ride from Jomokogen Shinkansen station, so it is very easy to get here. The hotel is new and modern. All rooms have an private bath on the balcony with a nice view of the river below. We had the half board option, and I would say it was great value since the dinner was a 6 course menu. Minakami Onsen was a sleepy small town surrounded by mountains. As a tourist it was nice to see the other sife of Japan, not only large cities. Would recommend for a night or two.
